Within the framework of the “Egyptian Programme for Promoting Industrial Motor Efficiency” which is implemented by UNIDO and funded by Global Environment Facility (GEF) in close collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, a fourth webinar aiming to raise awareness about the vitality of energy-efficient motors in the industrial sector and pinpoint potential saving opportunities in industrial motor driven systems while knowing their economic and technical feasibility aspects, was conducted on the 10th of November. The webinar was comprised of 39 suppliers, energy consultants and Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the industrial sector. The attendees had the opportunity of knowing the motor’s market landscape and its size to assess the financial feasibility of investing in EE motors. The webinar also delivered a descriptive explanation of the Minister of Trade and Industry’s decree # 463/2020 that encourages the Egyptian industrial sector to use energy-efficient motors as well as conducting interactive activities through break-out rooms in order to build bridges and spark dialogues among the attendees.
