The Egyptian Program for Promoting Industrial Motor Efficiency conducts the second “Expert’s level – Motor System Optimization” training session during 4-8 July 2021. A total of 25 individual consultants and energy experts affiliated to diverse manufacturing industries attended the 5-days expert level MSO training session. The training session encompassed both a theoretical and a practical segment which was facilitated and moderated by UNIDO’s international consultants Eng. Siraj Williams and Eng. Samir Khafagui. The training session focused on using real cases & examples from the field visit at “Ezz Steel’s” plant in Suez which spanned for 2 days of the round. The Ezz Steel plant at Suez has the capacity to produce 1.1m tons of rebar and 1.2m tons of hot rolled coil (HRC) per year, in a fully integrated process. The training used a pragmatic approach to ensure that the trainees have the tools to conduct a comprehensive MSO assessment after observing a demonstration of the site & inspecting it, as well as conducting measurement & analysis procedures of the energy parameters. The training’s practical segment was made possible due to Dr.Ayman Fathy, Eng.Ahmed Gomaa, and Eng.Maged El-Tonsy’s facilitation, dedication and generous hosting at the leading petrochemical company.
